Description

Butyl oleate (CAS 142-77-8) is an ester of oleic acid and butanol used across industrial and personal care markets as a plasticizer, lubricant, and solvent carrier.

Its low volatility and good solvency make it a functional alternative to mineral oil-based carriers in formulation work. In coatings and adhesives, it acts as a plasticizer to improve flexibility.

It helps reduce brittleness in films and sealant formulations. Personal care manufacturers incorporate it into emollient systems, where it functions as a skin-conditioning carrier for actives and pigments.

Textile and leather processors use it as a softening and lubricating agent during fiber treatment and finishing operations. In metalworking, it serves as a base fluid or additive component.

It is frequently utilized in cutting oils and rust-preventive formulations. The material is supplied as a clear to pale yellow liquid in drum and IBC quantities, with bulk tanker options available.

Technical grade is the standard commercial offering, with purity levels typically at 97% or above. Cosmetic-grade material meeting relevant purity and color specifications is available for personal care.

Our product ensures consistent performance across diverse industrial applications. We maintain strict quality control to ensure the material meets the necessary requirements for your specific manufacturing needs.
