In coating formulations, it functions as a drier and oxidative cure promoter, accelerating cross-linking in alkyd and air-drying resin systems for industrial applications. In lubricant and metalworking fluid formulations, it acts as an additive precursor where controlled metal content supports performance at elevated temperatures and pressures.
