Trisiloxane polyether
Description
Trisiloxane polyether (CAS 27306-78-1), commercially recognized as Silwet L-77, is a silicone-based surfactant engineered to dramatically reduce surface tension at very low use concentrations.
It enables uniform spreading and penetration of aqueous solutions across hydrophobic surfaces. This performance characteristic drives its selection across agriculture, personal care, and industrial cleaning applications.
In agrochemical formulations, it acts as a superspreader adjuvant, improving foliar uptake of herbicides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators by allowing spray droplets to spread rapidly across waxy leaf surfaces.
Personal care formulators incorporate it into leave-on and rinse-off products where even distribution across skin or hair is required. In textile and leather processing, it improves wetting and penetration of dye baths.
It also enhances the application of finishing agents into fibrous substrates. Industrial and household cleaning formulations use it to enhance surface wetting and soil displacement on low-energy surfaces.
Trisiloxane polyether is supplied as a clear liquid. It is available in technical grade for agricultural and industrial applications, with personal care-grade material also offered to meet cosmetic formulation requirements.
Bulk quantities are typically supplied in drums or IBCs. Our material is manufactured to rigorous standards to ensure consistent performance and stability across a wide range of diverse industrial and commercial formulations.
