Polydiethylsiloxane (CAS 63148-61-8), also known commercially as Esilon 5, is a silicone polymer built on diethyl-substituted siloxane repeat units rather than the more common dimethyl backbone.

Where is Polydiethylsiloxane used?

• Coatings and sealants: surface modifier that reduces surface tension, improves substrate wetting, and prevents cratering or fisheye defects in cured films
