Description

Sodium perborate monohydrate (CAS 10332-33-9) is a stable, water-soluble oxidizing salt used industrially as a bleaching and antimicrobial agent. It releases active oxygen upon dissolution, enabling controlled bleaching and disinfection across multiple sectors.

Its lower water content compared to the tetrahydrate form makes it preferred where concentrated active oxygen delivery is required. In textile and laundry processing, it bleaches natural and synthetic fibers without the fiber damage associated with chlorine-based alternatives.

Personal care manufacturers incorporate it into tooth-whitening formulations, denture cleansers, and oxidative hair color products where controlled peroxide release is critical. These applications rely on the material's stability and predictable performance during the formulation process.

Pulp and paper producers use it as a bleaching agent to achieve target brightness levels while managing effluent impact. In water treatment and industrial disinfection, it functions as a biocide effective against bacteria, fungi, and algae in recirculating systems.

Sodium perborate monohydrate is supplied as a white granular or powder material. It is available in technical grade for industrial bleaching and cleaning applications, as well as in higher-purity grades meeting specifications relevant to personal care.

Standard packaging ranges from multi-wall bags to bulk quantities suited to large-scale industrial procurement. The material is handled according to strict safety protocols to ensure stability and efficacy throughout the supply chain and storage period.
