Description

Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether (CAS 111-90-0), also known as ethyl digol, Ethoxy diglycol, and DGME, is a slow-evaporating glycol ether solvent used across coatings, personal care, and printing applications.

Its controlled evaporation rate and broad solvency make it a preferred carrier in formulations requiring extended open time or enhanced penetration. In coatings and inks, DGME functions as a coalescing agent and coupling solvent.

This material improves film formation and pigment dispersion in both waterborne and solvent-based systems. Personal care formulators incorporate Ethoxy diglycol as a solvent and humectant in creams, serums, and hair products.

In these cosmetic applications, it also enhances the skin penetration of active ingredients. In printing and packaging, it supports ink flow and retards drying to prevent nozzle clogging in industrial processes.

It is particularly effective in industrial inkjet and flexographic processes. Adhesive and sealant manufacturers use it as a reactive diluent and coupling agent to improve substrate wetting during application.

The solvent helps extend working time and ensures consistent performance across various substrates. Diethylene glycol monoethyl ether is supplied as a clear liquid in drum and IBC quantities for industrial use.

Technical and high-purity grades are standard across the market, with cosmetic-grade material available to meet personal care industry requirements. We ensure reliable supply chains for all manufacturing needs.
