Oleyl erucate

Oleyl erucate (CAS 17673-56-2), also marketed as TEGOSOFT OER, is a fatty acid ester derived from erucic acid and oleyl alcohol.

Where is Oleyl erucate used?

• Metalworking and industrial lubrication: base fluid or additive in cutting oils and forming lubricants
• Personal care: lightweight emollient in skin creams, hair conditioners and color cosmetics
• Plastics processing: internal or external plasticizer and slip agent in polymer films and compounds
