Where is Vinyltrimethoxysilane used?
- Composites: coupling agent bonding silica surfaces to epoxy, polyester or polyurethane resins, increasing tensile strength and reducing delamination
- Coatings and adhesives: adhesion promoter on glass, aluminum and mineral substrates
- Electronics: surface treatment of silica fillers in encapsulants and underfill compounds, improving dispersion and moisture resistance
- In polyolefin cable and pipe manufacturing it enables moisture-cure crosslinking of polyethylene into XLPE compounds.
