Laureth-12

Laureth-12 (CAS 3056-00-6), also designated PEG-12 Lauryl Ether and LIPOCOL L-12, is a nonionic ethoxylated fatty alcohol used in personal care and industrial formulations.

Where is Laureth-12 used?

• Cosmetics: emulsifier and mild cleansing agent in shampoos, body washes and skin creams
• Cosmetics: stabilises oil-in-water emulsions and adds mild moisturising properties
• Industrial and household cleaning: low-foam or controlled-foam surfactant for degreasing hard surfaces and concentrated cleaners
• Textile processing: emulsifying and wetting agent during dyeing, scouring and finishing
• Leather treatment: supports uniform penetration of conditioning agents
• It offers good compatibility with active ingredients and co-surfactants.
