Dipentaerythritol pentaacrylate (CAS 60506-81-2) is a high-functionality multiacrylate monomer used to achieve rapid UV/EB cure. Also marketed as SR 399 and Miramer M500.

Where is Dipentaerythritol pentaacrylate used?

• Radiation-curable systems: dense crosslink networks
• UV-curable coatings: scratch-resistant, hard finishes for wood, plastic and metal
• Printed electronics and conformal coatings: tight network formation that protects circuit boards from moisture and chemical exposure
• Packaging inks: fast cure response on high-speed press lines
• In adhesives and sealants it functions as a reactive crosslinker.

Good to know: Inhibited grades containing MEHQ prevent premature polymerization during transport and warehousing.
