Ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate
Description
Ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate (CAS 94108-97-1), commercially available as BEAMSET 730 and ARONIX M 408, is a tetrafunctional acrylate monomer used as a reactive crosslinker and diluent in UV- and EB-curable systems. Its four acrylate groups deliver high crosslink density, making it a preferred building block where hardness, chemical resistance, and fast cure response are required for industrial applications.
In UV-curable coatings for plastics and metal substrates, it contributes to scratch-resistant, high-gloss surface finishes with low shrinkage. Printing ink formulators incorporate it into energy-curable inkjet inks. Flexographic inks utilize this monomer to achieve rapid cure speeds and strong adhesion to packaging substrates. In adhesive and sealant formulations, it functions as a reactive crosslinker that improves cohesive strength.
It enhances solvent resistance without requiring post-cure heating. Radiation-curable resin systems for optical films and electronics coatings also use it to control network density and final film hardness. Ditrimethylolpropane tetraacrylate is supplied as a clear to pale yellow liquid. It is available in technical and industrial grades, with specifications typically aligned to UV/EB coating and ink manufacturing standards.
Bulk, drum, and IBC packaging options are standard across the supply chain. This material ensures high performance in demanding chemical environments and specialized electronic manufacturing processes.
