Triton CF 10
Description
Triton CF 10 (CAS 60864-33-7) is a nonionic surfactant combining benzyl and octylphenol ethoxylate chemistry into a single surface-active molecule. It functions as an emulsifier, dispersant, and cleaning agent across a broad range of industrial formulations.
The product offers effective wetting and interfacial activity at moderate use levels. In textile and leather processing, it acts as a scouring and wetting agent, improving penetration of dye baths and finishing liquors into fiber substrates.
Industrial and institutional cleaning formulations use it to emulsify oils and greases from hard surfaces, particularly where low-foam profiles are needed. This makes it ideal for high-pressure cleaning systems and automated industrial washers.
In agricultural adjuvant systems, it enhances the spreading and uptake of active ingredients on leaf surfaces, improving efficacy of spray formulations. This ensures better coverage and absorption of essential crop protection chemicals.
Coatings and adhesive manufacturers incorporate it as a dispersant to stabilize pigment suspensions and improve substrate wetting during application. This helps prevent settling and ensures a smooth, uniform finish on various materials.
The chemical is supplied as a liquid, typically at 90% active content. It is available in technical grade, suited to industrial processing and formulation use across multiple sectors including manufacturing and chemical synthesis.
Standard packaging includes drums and IBC containers, with bulk supply options available through specialty chemical distributors. Proper storage in a cool, dry environment is recommended to maintain the stability and performance of the surfactant.
