Description

C12-14 fatty alcohols ethoxylated (CAS 68439-50-9), commercially available as Surfonic L 24-2, Tergitol 24L98N, and Tergitol 24L92, is a nonionic ethoxylated alcohol surfactant.

It is derived from C12-C14 fatty alcohol feedstocks and functions as an emulsifier, dispersant, and cleaning agent across a broad range of industrial and consumer formulations.

In personal care, it emulsifies oil-in-water systems in lotions, creams, and rinse-off products where low irritation and stable emulsion structure are required for the final product.

Household and industrial cleaners rely on it for grease removal and soil dispersion in hard surface cleaners, laundry detergents, and various institutional degreasers used in the field.

Textile processing operations use it as a scouring and wetting agent to ensure uniform dye penetration and fiber preparation during the manufacturing and treatment stages of production.

In agrochemical formulations, it stabilizes emulsifiable concentrates and suspension concentrates, improving active ingredient delivery and overall tank-mix compatibility for the end user.

Supplied as a clear to slightly hazy liquid, with viscosity and HLB value varying by degree of ethoxylation. Standard commercial grades are available in technical and industrial specifications.

Ethoxylate mole variants target different HLB ranges for specific formulation needs. Bulk liquid supply in IBC containers and drums is the standard market format for global distribution.
