Ethoxylated C11-alcohol

CAS

Description

Ethoxylated C11-alcohol (CAS 127036-24-2), also marketed under the INCI designation Undeceth-7, is a nonionic surfactant produced by ethoxylating a C11 fatty alcohol.

It functions as an emulsifier, wetting agent, and detergent active across a broad range of industrial and consumer formulations. In household and industrial cleaning products, it delivers low-foam detergency.

It is used for grease removal in hard surface cleaners, dishwashing formulations, and institutional degreasers. Personal care formulators incorporate it into rinse-off products where controlled foam is required.

Textile processing operations use it as a scouring and wetting agent to ensure uniform dye penetration and soil removal from fabric substrates. It is essential for high-performance textile manufacturing.

In leather and paper processing, it supports emulsification of treatment agents and improves substrate wetting during manufacturing steps. This ensures consistent quality across various industrial applications.

Ethoxylated C11-alcohol is supplied as a liquid or low-viscosity paste, depending on the degree of ethoxylation. Technical grade is the standard commercial offering for most buyers.

Product specifications are typically defined by HLB value, ethoxylation degree, and active matter content. Drum and IBC packaging are the most common supply formats for industrial chemical procurement.
