Alcohols, C12-13, ethoxylated propoxylated
Description
Alcohols, C12-13, ethoxylated propoxylated (CAS 70750-27-5), commercially available as Noigen DL 0415 and NTD 02, is a nonionic surfactant built on a C12-13 fatty alcohol backbone.
This chemical is modified with both ethylene oxide and propylene oxide blocks. This dual-alkoxylation structure delivers a tunable hydrophilic-lipophilic balance for various industrial uses.
It is effective across emulsification, degreasing, and dispersion applications in industrial and consumer formulations. In home care, it functions as a primary or co-surfactant to solubilize oils.
Its low-foaming behavior is ideally suited to machine-wash and spray systems. Textile and leather processors use it as a wetting and scouring agent to ensure uniform dye penetration.
In coatings and adhesive formulations, it stabilizes pigment dispersions and improves substrate wetting. Personal care formulators incorporate it as an emulsifier and mild moisturizing agent.
It is used in rinse-off and leave-on systems where mildness to skin is a priority. The material is supplied as a liquid at ambient temperature, typically in drum and IBC quantities.
Technical grade is the standard commercial offering, with specific mole ratios varying by product. Buyers should confirm HLB value and EO/PO ratio with the supplier to match the application.
