Where is C12-16 alcohols used?

• Personal care: emulsifier and emollient contributing to emulsion stability in rinse-off and leave-on formulations
• Cosmetics: skin-feel modification in lotions, creams and conditioners
• Cleaning products: feedstock for ethoxylation to produce nonionic surfactants for household and industrial cleaners
• Plastics processing: lubricant or processing aid improving flow and surface release during polymer compounding
• Industrial formulations: co-emulsifier where controlled wetting and dispersion of active ingredients are required
• It also functions as a surfactant intermediate.
