Description

Isoborneol (CAS 124-76-5), also known as isobornyl alcohol, is a bicyclic terpene alcohol used as a fragrance ingredient and chemical intermediate across pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturing.

Its primary commercial role is as a precursor in the synthesis of camphor and other terpenoid derivatives, and as a contributor of fresh, camphoraceous odor character in finished formulations.

In fragrance compounding, isoborneol is used to impart cool, woody, and camphor-like notes in fine fragrances, functional perfumery, and scented personal care products for industrial use.

Pharmaceutical manufacturers source it as a synthetic intermediate, particularly in the production of camphor USP and related active ingredients used in various medical and topical applications.

In cosmetic formulations such as creams, balms, and topical products, it functions as a carrier component where its terpene character supports penetration-enhancing blends for skin care.

FEMA 2158 status supports its use as a flavoring agent in food and beverage applications where camphoraceous profiles are required for specific consumer taste profiles and products.

Isoborneol is supplied as a white crystalline solid or flake. It is available in fragrance-grade and pharmaceutical-grade specifications, with purity levels typically at 95% or higher for clients.

Packaging ranges from small drums to bulk quantities suited to industrial procurement volumes. Our supply chain ensures consistent quality and availability for large-scale manufacturing requirements.
