Description

Ethylenediamine ethoxylated propoxylated polymer (CAS 26316-40-5) is a block copolymer surfactant built on an ethylenediamine core extended with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide chains. The balance of hydrophilic and hydrophobic segments can be tuned during synthesis, producing a range of products with distinct HLB values suited to different formulation requirements.

It functions primarily as an emulsifier, dispersant, and rheology modifier across industrial cleaning, coatings, and water treatment applications. In industrial and institutional cleaning formulations, it delivers performance. It provides low-foam or controlled-foam degreasing, particularly in spray wash and CIP systems where foam management is critical. Coatings and adhesive formulators use it to stabilize pigment dispersions.

It also improves substrate wetting, reducing the need for additional co-solvents. In textile and leather processing, it aids in dye leveling and fiber lubrication during wet processing stages. Water treatment programs incorporate it as a dispersant to inhibit scale deposition and keep particulates suspended for removal. This polymer is supplied as a liquid, typically ranging from low-viscosity fluids.

It can also be supplied as more viscous pastes depending on the EO/PO ratio and molecular weight. Technical-grade material is the standard commercial offering for most industrial applications. Specific grades are differentiated by HLB value, molecular weight, and ethylene oxide content to match application requirements. This ensures optimal performance across various chemical formulations.
