Description

Tallow oleic acid (CAS 67701-08-0), also supplied under trade names Emersol 110 and Priolene 6900, is a mixed C16-C18 fatty acid fraction derived from animal tallow. It features a high proportion of unsaturated content and functions as a lubricant and surface modifier.

This versatile chemical acts as a rheology modifier across a wide range of industrial manufacturing processes. In metalworking and lubricant formulations, it serves as a base component or additive that reduces friction and improves surface film performance.

Coatings and adhesive manufacturers utilize this fatty acid to modify rheology and enhance substrate wetting in solvent-based and reactive systems. It ensures consistent performance and improved application characteristics for various industrial coatings.

Rubber and tire compounders incorporate it as a processing aid and internal lubricant. This application helps to improve the dispersion of fillers and significantly reduces mill sticking during the manufacturing of rubber components.

In textile and leather processing, it supports fiber lubrication and surface conditioning during wet finishing operations. Its chemical properties allow for better penetration and more uniform treatment of natural and synthetic fibers.

Tallow oleic acid is supplied as an amber to yellow liquid at ambient temperatures. Standard commercial grades are available for industrial and technical applications, with specifications typically defined by acid value, iodine value, and titer.

Supply is available in bulk liquid, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), and drum quantities to meet diverse production needs. Our logistics team ensures reliable delivery of high-quality fatty acids for your specific industrial requirements.
