Tallow alcohol (CAS 99561-04-3), also supplied under the trade designation HD-Talgocenol 50-55, is a fatty alcohol mixture derived from animal tallow by reduction of the corresponding fatty acids.

It functions primarily as an emulsifier, lubricant, and surface modifier across personal care, industrial, and textile processing applications. In personal care formulations, it acts as an emulsion stabilizer.
