Tallow alcohol

Tallow alcohol (CAS 99561-04-3), also marketed as HD-Talgocenol 50-55, is a fatty alcohol mixture derived from animal tallow by reduction of the corresponding fatty acids.

Where is Tallow alcohol used?

• Personal care: emulsion stabilizer in creams, lotions and hair conditioners
• Textile and leather processing: fiber lubricant and softening agent during wet processing
• Metalworking fluids and industrial lubricants: base component or additive that enhances film formation on metal surfaces
