Description

Boron nitride (CAS 10043-11-5) is a synthetic inorganic compound produced in both hexagonal and cubic crystalline forms. In personal care and industrial applications, it functions as a dry lubricant and texture modifier.

It also serves as a thermal management material depending on the grade and structure selected. In cosmetics and personal care, hexagonal BN is used as a slip agent and soft-focus pigment in pressed powders.

It is frequently found in foundations and eyeshadows, where it improves skin feel and light diffusion without adding color. Cubic boron nitride is used in cutting tools and abrasive wheels for high-precision machining.

This material is ideal for hardened metals where diamond tooling is unsuitable. In biotechnology and life sciences, BN-based coatings are evaluated for biocompatible surface applications and thermal interface materials.

These materials are also used in laboratory and diagnostic equipment. High-purity hexagonal grades serve as mold release agents and lubricants in high-temperature ceramic and metal processing operations.

The product is supplied as a fine white powder, with hexagonal and cubic forms available depending on the intended application. Cosmetic-grade h-BN is offered at defined particle size distributions.

These distributions are specifically suited to skin-contact formulations. Technical and high-purity grades are available for industrial, electronic, and advanced materials applications across various sectors.
