Polyamino polyether methylene phosphonate
Description
Polyamino polyether methylene phosphonate (CAS 130668-24-5), commercially known as PAPEMP or Kemguard 8010, is a high-performance phosphonate chelating agent engineered for demanding water treatment and industrial process environments.
It combines sequestration and corrosion inhibition functions within a single molecule, making it effective at low dosage levels across a broad pH and temperature range. In industrial water treatment, it controls scale deposition.
This chemical prevents calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and barium sulfate in cooling water systems, boilers, and reverse osmosis membranes. Its threshold inhibition and crystal modification properties allow effective scale control.
It performs even under high hardness and high-temperature conditions where conventional phosphonates underperform. In textile processing, it sequesters heavy metal ions that would otherwise interfere with dyeing uniformity and fabric quality.
Industrial and institutional cleaning formulations incorporate it as a chelant to prevent redeposition of hardness minerals. It also serves to stabilize active ingredients in alkaline detergent systems during the cleaning process.
Polyamino polyether methylene phosphonate is supplied as an aqueous liquid solution, typically at active concentrations around 20–30%. It is available in technical grade suitable for industrial water treatment.
The product is also ideal for cleaning and various process applications. Bulk supply in IBC containers and drums is standard for industrial procurement and large-scale manufacturing requirements.
