Nickel nitrate

Nickel nitrate (CAS 13138-45-9), also sold as nickelous nitrate, is an inorganic nickel salt used as a precursor in catalyst manufacturing and surface treatment.

Where is Nickel nitrate used?

• Catalyst production: precursor for supported nickel catalysts in hydrogenation and reforming, where uniform metal dispersion on carriers is critical
• Electroplating and surface finishing: nickel coatings on metals and plastics for corrosion resistance and adhesion
• Textile and leather processing: mordant that fixes dyes to fibers and hides
• Mining operations draw on it for nickel recovery.
