Description

Tricresyl phosphate (CAS 1330-78-5), also known as TCP or Kronitex, is an organophosphate ester used as a plasticizer, flame retardant, and extreme-pressure lubricant additive across demanding industrial applications.

Its combination of thermal stability and load-bearing performance makes it a preferred functional additive where both flexibility and fire resistance are required in a single component for various manufacturing processes.

In PVC and synthetic rubber compounding, TCP imparts flexibility while simultaneously reducing flammability. This dual function reduces the need for separate additive packages in polymer formulations.

Hydraulic fluids and compressor lubricants incorporate TCP as an extreme-pressure additive. It forms protective films on metal surfaces under high-load conditions to prevent wear and mechanical failure.

Aerospace and defense applications rely on TCP in aircraft hydraulic fluids and turbine engine oils. Resistance to thermal degradation at elevated operating temperatures is critical for these high-stakes environments.

Automotive transmission fluids and gear oils also use TCP to extend component life under heavy mechanical stress. It ensures smooth operation and longevity for critical vehicle drivetrain systems.

Tricresyl phosphate is supplied as a clear to pale yellow liquid. It is available in technical grade, with industrial-specification material being the standard commercial form for lubricant and polymer applications.

Bulk liquid supply in drums and ISO tank containers is the norm for large-volume procurement. Our logistics network ensures reliable delivery of high-purity chemical additives for your specific industrial needs.
