Description

Bisdisulizole disodium (CAS 180898-37-7), commercially known as Neo Heliopan AP and also identified as disodium phenyl dibenzimidazole tetrasulfonate, is a water-soluble UVA filter used in sun care and cosmetic formulations.

It provides broad-spectrum UV absorption in the UVA range, enabling formulators to meet increasingly stringent photoprotection standards. Sun care products including SPF lotions, sprays, and creams incorporate it as a primary UVA filter.

This allows manufacturers to achieve balanced UVA/UVB protection ratios required by EU and international regulations. Its water solubility makes it the preferred UVA filter in aqueous and hydrophilic formulations where oil-phase UV actives are unsuitable.

Daily skincare products such as moisturizers and foundations use it to deliver incidental UV protection without compromising texture or clarity. It is also used in combination sunscreen systems to boost the critical wavelength.

This helps products meet UVA protection factor (UVA-PF) labeling requirements. Bisdisulizole disodium is supplied as a white to off-white powder available in cosmetic-grade specification, the standard for personal care applications.

The material is compliant with EU Cosmetics Regulation Annex VI listings. Packaging typically ranges from kilogram-scale bags to bulk quantities suited for industrial formulators and large-scale manufacturing needs.
