• Adhesives and sealants: in polyurethane prepolymers for crosslink density and substrate adhesion
• Polyester and alkyd resins: chain extender improving water compatibility for industrial and architectural coatings
• Personal care: film-forming agents in hair fixatives and skin-feel modifiers
• It introduces ionic or hydrophilic character into polyurethane and polyester systems.
