Tributyltin oxide

Tributyltin oxide (CAS 56-35-9), commercially known as TBTO or Butinox, is an organotin biocide used across industrial preservation applications. It functions as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent. This chemical is highly effective at controlling fungi, bacteria, and marine fouling organisms in demanding environments. In textile and leather processing, it is applied as an antifungal treatment.

The treatment helps to prevent mold and mildew degradation during storage and transit.
