N-(Ethoxycarbonylphenyl)-N'-methyl-N'-phenyl formamidine
Description
N-(Ethoxycarbonylphenyl)-N'-methyl-N'-phenyl formamidine (CAS 57834-33-0) is a UV absorber and light stabilizer used in polymer and coating systems to protect against photodegradation. It functions by absorbing ultraviolet radiation and dissipating it as heat, extending the service life of finished materials. In industrial coatings and architectural finishes, it is incorporated to prevent yellowing.
This stabilizer prevents chalking and gloss loss caused by prolonged UV exposure. Printing inks and packaging laminates use it to maintain color fidelity and substrate integrity under light stress. Adhesive and sealant formulations benefit from its stabilizing action, particularly in products exposed to outdoor or high-UV environments. Plastics processors compound it into films and sheets.
It is also used in molded parts where long-term UV resistance is a performance requirement. This product is typically supplied as a solid powder or crystalline material for industrial use. It is available in technical grade, suited for industrial coating, polymer, and ink formulations where high-purity pharmaceutical specifications are not required for the application.
Packaging is generally offered in kilogram quantities up to bulk drum supply, depending on the supplier. This ensures flexibility for both small-scale testing and large-scale manufacturing needs.
