• Personal care: carrier solvents in fragrance delivery systems and emollient components in rinse-off products
• Metalworking and lubricants: base fluids or co-solvents in cutting fluids and rust-preventive formulations
• They also serve as intermediates in the production of ethoxylated alcohol surfactants and sulfate esters.
