Where is Stannous fluoride used?

• Toothpaste and mouth rinse: caries-prevention agent and antibacterial active targeting plaque and gingivitis at 0.4% to 0.454%
• Pharmaceutical oral care: prescription-strength gels and professional dental treatments requiring dual fluoride and antimicrobial efficacy
• Specialty whitening and sensitivity-relief dentifrice: stannous ion contributes to tubule occlusion and stain-blocking
• In metal finishing it is used in some industrial surface treatment applications.
