Where is Ichthammol used?
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing: active ingredient in drawing ointments and salves for skin infections, boils and folliculitis
- Personal care: medicated creams and scalp treatments for seborrheic conditions and chronic skin irritation
- Veterinary: hoof care preparations and topical treatments for livestock
- In animal husbandry topicals it functions as a biocide on working animals.
