Vitamin F

Vitamin F (CAS 11006-87-4), also called essential fatty acids (EFAs), is a collective term for the polyunsaturated fatty acids linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid.

Where is Vitamin F used?

• Food and dietary supplements: bioactive ingredient in fortified oils, capsules and nutritional blends for omega fatty acid content
• Cosmetics and personal care: skin-conditioning agent in facial creams, serums and hair care products supporting skin barrier function
• Animal feed: additive in compound feeds and premixes supporting growth performance and coat condition in livestock and companion animals
• Pharmaceuticals: EFA concentrates as active ingredients in softgel formulations targeting nutritional deficiency
• The body cannot synthesize these compounds and must obtain them externally.
