Description

Pyridoxine (CAS 65-23-6), also known as Pyridoxol, is the stable, commercially dominant form of Vitamin B6 used across pharmaceutical, nutritional, and cosmetic manufacturing. It functions as an essential micronutrient active.

This ingredient supplies B6 activity in finished formulations where bioavailability and regulatory acceptance are primary sourcing criteria. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, it is the active ingredient in B6 tablets and injectables.

It is also used in combination vitamin preparations targeting deficiency treatment and prophylaxis. Nutritional supplement and functional food producers incorporate it into multivitamin blends and fortified cereals.

It is found in infant formula and sports nutrition products to meet declared B6 label claims. Cosmetic formulators use it in scalp treatments and anti-hair loss serums where B6 activity supports keratinocyte function.

The material also serves as a pharmaceutical intermediate in the synthesis of Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate, the active coenzyme form. It is commercially supplied as a white crystalline powder, most commonly as Pyridoxine Hydrochloride.

This salt form is preferred for its improved stability and water solubility in finished dosage forms. Standard grades include USP, BP, Ph. Eur., and FCC, covering pharmaceutical and food-grade requirements.

Bulk quantities are available for industrial-scale manufacturing, with fine particle specifications offered for direct compression. These grades ensure compliance with global quality standards for diverse industrial applications.
