Description

Nicotinamide (CAS 98-92-0), also known as niacinamide and designated E375 in food applications, is the amide form of vitamin B3 used across pharmaceutical, nutritional, and cosmetic manufacturing.

It functions as an active nutrient, skin-conditioning agent, and formulation stabilizer depending on the end market. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, it is used as an active ingredient in vitamin B3 supplements.

It is found in multivitamin tablets and therapeutic preparations targeting pellagra and metabolic disorders. Food and beverage producers use it as an approved nutrient fortifier in cereals, infant formula, and functional drinks.

In these applications, it restores or enhances B-vitamin content. Cosmetic formulators incorporate niacinamide into serums, moisturizers, and anti-aging creams for its ability to support skin barrier function.

It helps reduce hyperpigmentation and also appears in feed premixes and veterinary nutritional products as a cost-effective B-vitamin source. The material is supplied as a white crystalline powder.

It is available in both food-grade and pharmaceutical-grade specifications. Recognized quality standards include USP, BP, Ph. Eur., and FCC, ensuring high purity for various industrial uses.

Pharmaceutical grades are subject to stricter purity and heavy metal limits. Bulk supply is standard in 25 kg bags, with smaller packaging available for specialty or cosmetic-grade orders.
