Where is Sodium molybdate used?

• Water treatment and closed-loop cooling systems: non-chromate corrosion inhibitor protecting metal surfaces in recirculating circuits
• Coatings and anticorrosive primers: pigment extender and passivating agent for steel substrates and heavy machinery
• Agriculture and animal feed: molybdenum trace element for nitrogen fixation in legume crops and enzyme function in livestock
• Metalworking lubricants and extreme-pressure fluids: friction and surface-wear reduction under high load
• The anhydrous form is distinguished from the common dihydrate in procurement.
