Mineral oil (CAS 8042-47-5), also sold as white mineral oil or paraffin oil, is a highly refined petroleum-derived liquid.

Where is Mineral oil used?

• Personal care and pharmaceutical: base for creams, ointments, baby oils and topical formulations
• Industrial: lubricant for machinery and metalworking equipment
• Textile processing: reduces friction and extends equipment service life
• Plastics and polymer processing: plasticizer and processing aid that improves flexibility in compounds such as PVC
