Hydrazine hydrate

Hydrazine hydrate (CAS 10217-52-4), also known as hydrazine monohydrate, is a concentrated aqueous form of hydrazine; a reducing agent and chemical intermediate.

Where is Hydrazine hydrate used?

• Boiler and steam systems: removes dissolved oxygen from feedwater to prevent corrosion
• Power generation and industrial utilities: protects high-pressure equipment
• Pharmaceuticals: intermediate in synthesizing active pharmaceutical ingredients, including antituberculosis compounds
• Agrochemicals: precursor in the synthesis of herbicides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators
• Water treatment: biocide and reducing agent
• In closed-loop cooling systems it is particularly effective where oxygen control is critical.
