Description

Padimate-O (CAS 21245-02-3), also known commercially as Ethylhexyl Dimethyl PABA, is an oil-soluble UV absorber that filters UVB radiation in the 290–315 nm range. It is used across personal care, polymer, and printing applications to protect formulations and substrates from UV-induced degradation. In sunscreen and cosmetic formulations, it functions as an approved UVB filter.

The material is incorporated into lotions, creams, and lip care products to meet SPF performance targets. Polymer manufacturers use it as a UV stabilizer in plastic films and coatings where resistance is required. In printing and packaging, it is incorporated into UV-curable ink and coating systems. It contributes to controlled photoinitiator activity and cross-linking behavior in these specific industrial applications.

Its reactivity with certain resin systems positions it as a building block or catalyst precursor in specialty curing formulations. This versatility makes it a staple in high-performance chemical manufacturing. Padimate-O is supplied as a pale yellow to amber liquid. It is available in cosmetic-grade specifications meeting requirements for inclusion in regulated personal care products across major global markets.

Technical-grade material is also available for industrial polymer and printing applications. Our supply chain ensures consistent quality and availability for large-scale manufacturing and formulation needs.
