Dicyandiamide

Dicyandiamide (CAS 461-58-5), abbreviated DICY and also known as cyanoguanidine, is a crystalline solid used as a latent curing agent and cross-linking compound.

Where is Dicyandiamide used?

• Epoxy resin systems: latent hardener for structural adhesives

• Textile and paper: crease-resistant and wet-strength treatments, reacting with finishing agents to build cross-linked networks on fiber substrates
