Where is Calcium sulfate used?

• Food manufacturing: firming agent and calcium fortifier in tofu, bread, and canned vegetables
• Construction: base component in plaster and wallboard compounds
• Pharmaceutical: tablet diluent and binder, particularly in solid dosage forms requiring low moisture sensitivity
• Agriculture: improves soil structure in clay-heavy soils
• It supplies calcium and sulfur to crops without significantly altering soil pH.
