Sweet orange peel oil

Sweet orange peel oil (CAS 8008-57-9), also known as orange essential oil, is cold-pressed or distilled from the peel of Citrus sinensis and is one of the most commercially traded citrus oils globally. It delivers a bright, characteristic orange flavor and fragrance profile that drives demand across food, cosmetics, and industrial cleaning sectors. In food and beverage manufacturing, it functions as a natural flavoring.

It is used in confectionery, baked goods, soft drinks, and dairy products, where it is referenced by FEMA 2824 in flavor compliance documentation. Personal care formulators incorporate it into perfumes and body washes. It is also used in skincare products as a fragrance component and carrier for other actives.
