Description

Avocado oil (CAS 8024-32-6) is a cold-pressed or refined vegetable oil derived from the flesh of Persea americana, valued across cosmetic and food industries for its moisturizing performance.

It delivers deep emolliency in topical formulations and contributes richness and nutritional profile in food applications. In personal care, it functions as a primary emollient and carrier oil.

It is used in face creams, body lotions, hair masks, and lip balms, where its skin absorption profile supports high-end positioning. Food manufacturers incorporate it into premium cooking oils.

It is also used in salad dressings and specialty margarines as a functional and label-friendly ingredient. Industrial formulators use it as a bio-based lubricant component and plasticizer.

It is utilized in coatings and sealant systems where renewable content is a procurement requirement. It also appears in massage oil blends and professional skincare concentrates.

The high oleic content justifies a price premium over standard carrier oils. Avocado oil is supplied as a liquid in both refined (clear, deodorized) and unrefined (crude, green-tinted) grades.

Cosmetic-grade and food-grade specifications are the most commercially prevalent, with refined variants meeting FCC and Ph. Eur. standards where applicable for industrial use.

Bulk supply is standard in drums and IBC containers, with cold-pressed unrefined grades available for premium and organic-certified applications across global distribution networks.
