Terpene phenolic resin (CAS 25359-84-6) is a thermoplastic tackifier resin produced by co-polymerizing terpene monomers with phenol.

Where is Terpene phenolic resin used?

• Pressure-sensitive adhesives and hot-melt formulations: builds tack and peel strength in labels, tapes, and bonding films
• Rubber compounding: tackifier and curing modifier in tire manufacturing
• Printing inks and overprint varnishes: controls rheology and improves adhesion to difficult substrates
• Construction sealants and contact adhesives: enhances bond strength to porous and non-porous surfaces, including wood, concrete, and industrial plastics
• It improves green tack and contributes to crosslink density during tire production.
