Choline

Choline (CAS 62-49-7) is a water-soluble nutrient compound of the B-vitamin family, supplied commercially as its stabilized salt, choline chloride.

Where is Choline used?

• Food and beverage: nutritional fortifier in infant formula, sports nutrition and functional beverages
• Animal feed: in poultry, swine and aquaculture premixes to support liver function and prevent fatty liver syndrome
• Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical: dietary supplements and capsules for brain health and prenatal nutrition

• It acts as a methyl donor and lipid transport agent.
