Fennel oil

Fennel oil (CAS 8006-84-6), also marketed as fennel fruit oil, is a steam-distilled essential oil derived from the seeds of Foeniculum vulgare. FEMA 2483.

Where is Fennel oil used?

• Food and beverage: clean, sweet-herbaceous flavor in confectionery, baked goods and savory seasonings
• Personal care: oral care products such as toothpastes and mouthwashes, skin creams and massage oils
• Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical: flavoring agent
• Fragrance: top or middle note component in fine fragrances and functional scent applications
• In syrups, lozenges and digestive preparations it improves palatability.
