1-Naphthaleneacetic acid (CAS 86-87-3), commonly abbreviated as NAA and also known as 1-naphthylacetic acid, is a synthetic auxin used in commercial agriculture to regulate plant growth and development.

It mimics the action of natural plant hormones, enabling precise control over rooting, fruit set, and thinning at the crop production scale. NAA is applied in fruit production to prevent pre-harvest drop in apples and pears.
