Description

Glycerides, C16-18 and C18-unsatd. mono- and di-, citrates (CAS 91052-16-3), commercially known as Dracorin GOC, is a citric acid ester of mixed mono- and diglycerides derived from C16-18 and unsaturated C18 fatty acids.

It functions as an emulsifier and stabilizer in food and personal care formulations, combining lipid-based emulsification with the antioxidant effect of bound citric acid. In food manufacturing, it stabilizes fat-based systems.

This ingredient is used in margarines, shortenings, and bakery fillings by improving emulsion consistency and extending shelf life through metal ion chelation. Confectionery producers use it to control fat bloom and improve texture.

It is highly effective in compound coatings and chocolate-based products. In personal care, it supports oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsion stability in creams and lotions where both emulsification and mild protection are required.

It also finds use in processed meat and dairy applications where fat dispersion and oxidative stability are simultaneous formulation requirements. Dracorin GOC is typically supplied as a waxy solid or flake form.

This physical state allows for ease of handling and dosing in heated mixing processes. It is available in food-grade specification, meeting requirements for use as a food additive under applicable regional regulations.

Packaging options generally include bags or cartons suited to industrial-scale formulation environments. This ensures the product remains stable and easy to transport for large-scale chemical and food manufacturing operations.
