Potassium sorbate

Potassium sorbate (CAS 24634-61-5), also known as E202, is a broad-spectrum preservative used across food, beverage, and personal care manufacturing. It inhibits the growth of mold, yeast, and fungi, extending shelf life in a wide range of finished products.

In food and beverage production, it preserves baked goods, dairy products, wines, and soft drinks. It is typically used at low concentrations to meet regulatory limits without affecting the final taste or color of the product.
