High oleic sunflower oil
Description
High oleic sunflower oil (CAS 164250-88-8), also marketed under the trade name Trisun 80, is a specialty vegetable oil bred to contain elevated oleic acid levels, typically above 80%.
Its oxidative stability and clean sensory profile make it a preferred alternative to conventional sunflower oil across food, personal care, and industrial applications for various manufacturers.
In food manufacturing, it is used as a frying and cooking oil where extended shelf life and heat stability reduce oil turnover costs in commercial kitchens and snack production lines.
Personal care formulators incorporate it into skin creams, lotions, and hair conditioners as an emollient that absorbs readily without leaving a heavy residue on the skin or hair.
In industrial lubricants and metalworking fluids, its stability under thermal stress supports longer fluid service life compared to standard vegetable oils used in similar mechanical processes.
Coatings and alkyd resin manufacturers also use it as a bio-based raw material where controlled drying behavior is required for high-performance industrial finishes and protective layers.
High oleic sunflower oil is supplied as a clear to pale yellow liquid. Food-grade material is available to specifications including FCC and non-GMO or organic certifications.
Technical-grade material is also offered for industrial lubricant and coatings applications where food compliance is not required by the specific end-user or regulatory body.
