Rutin

Rutin (CAS 153-18-4) is a bioflavonoid glycoside sourced primarily from buckwheat and sophora japonica buds. Also marketed as Venoruton, Tanrutin, and Sophorin.

Where is Rutin used?

• Food and nutraceutical: antioxidant and stabilizing agent in functional beverages, dietary capsules and fortified foods
• Pharmaceutical: active ingredient in venous insufficiency treatments, capillary-strengthening tablets and circulatory support supplements
